Who isiiCentralCoast

iCentralCoast focuses on the best of the Central Coast and the best of Lake Macquarie for Sydney siders and weekenders. This includes activities for couples, families and empty-nesters. I want visitors to be able to explore the best of the region through our website.

iCentralCoast receives over 40,000 page views per month during the peak season. So this is a great opportunity to gain exposure for your writing if you’re an aspiring writer or blogger.

Write foriiCentralCoast

I’ve put together a quick guide to writing for iCentralCoast below. Before you write anything though, please send me a quick email to christine@icentralcoast.com to make sure the topic you want to write about hasn’t already been covered. (I’d hate for you to write something that I can’t publish!)

I’m looking for experiences you’ve lived first-hand and places that Sydney siders would be interested in.

Before taking the time to submit your pitch, please read some of our blog posts and familiarise yourself with our writing style.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Bush walks on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie
  • Free things to do on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie
  • Fun things to do on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie
  • Things to do with kids on the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie
  • Places to explore on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie
  • Parks and Playgrounds on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie
  • Picnic spots on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie
  • Surfing on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie
  • Fishing on the Central Coast or Lake Macquarie

Guest Post Guidelines

I’d like your stories to be a minimum of 600 words please.

Only original posts will be accepted. I cannot accept posts that have been published anywhere else on the internet. Google doesn’t like it.

You may not publish your guest post on your own website or blog.

I reserve the right to edit your post. This may include for example editing for SEO purposes, fixing typos, adding an introduction or conclusion, or improving the structure.

Image Guidelines

I require a minimum of 5 photographs, and they need to be at least 1000px wide. Portrait style shots need to be at least 800px wide.

The images MUST be your own and not have been published elsewhere.

High quality (photos taken on digital cameras preferred – no smartphone photos).

No watermarks.

You can also send videos or embed codes for videos you’ve uploaded to YouTube.

You are welcome to share these images via a file sharing method to ensure the highest possible quality.

What you Get from us

Please feel free to include a brief bio and a link to your website, blog or social media accounts. You can also send a profile photo to accompany your bio.
