Avoca Beachside Markets are in my opinion the best markets on the NSW Central Coast.
Relax by the lakeside. Enjoy live music by local artists. And browse the 120+ stalls…

You’ll find stylish new and upcycled items, artisan products and gourmet food. It’s a lovely spot to spend a few hours or even a whole day.
The products you’ll find at this market are not cheap quality…
You’ll only find quality, locally-sourced and handmade items. It comes with a higher price tag, but it’s completely worth it.
These are some of the things I’ve seen at Avoca Beachside Markets:
Paintings and drawings by local artists...
Nice children and adult clothing...
Beautiful textiles...
Homeware...
Flowers...
Gourmet dog treats...
Candles...
Calypso hammocks...
Local food produce...
Jams, chilli sauces, marmalade, relishes, honey.
International food like Gozleme.
Also, stalls from the award-winning Little Creek Cheese...
Brooklyn Boy Bagels, an artisan bagel maker...
Jam N Chilli, who donate a percentage of their profits to Kids With Cancer, have home-made jams and chilli sauces made with local products.
Bilpin Bush Honey, havested in Bilpin and the valley of Kurrajong...
You can get a great coffee from the mobile coffee van...
There are rugs laid out on the ground where you can sit, eat and listen to live music.
Avoca Beachside Markets is a great place to take the kids. There are art and craft activities, face painting, a small playground, an oval to kick the ball and more.
The markets are also dog-friendly. Many people take their dogs. There’s an off-leash area on the beach where you can let your dog run free before or after your visit.
Avoca Beachside Markets are very popular and they always attract a crowd. I like going in winter, but in summer you have to not mind the crowds. But it's a great place where the community gets together...
Spend a few hours at Avoca Beach after you visit the stalls. In summer you can cool down in the water…
Aquafun is on the shore of Avoca Lake in Heazlett Park. They have pedal boats, kayaks and stand up paddleboards you can hire.
Also, you can have a swim: the patrolled section of the beach and the rock pool are a 10-minute walk away. You can also watch a movie at Avoca Beach Theatre.
If you want to spend the night, Avoca Palms Resort is a great place to stay. The reviews are excellent and the apartments are right beside the markets and the beach.
A more budget accommodation is Avoca Beach Hotel. They have free shuttle busses to Heazlett Park, rooms from $135 and kids eat free on Sunday.
Check the official Facebook page to make sure the day you’re planning to visit hasn’t been changed due to the weather or other reasons.
